The Walking Dead franchise has also expanded into the world of cinema. Several movies have been produced, including The Walking Dead (2004), a horror film directed by Frank Darabont, and The Walking Dead: Days Gone Bye (2004), a short film also directed by Darabont. More recently, a trilogy of movies has been announced, with the first film, titled The Walking Dead: World Beyond, scheduled for release.
