Il successo del film ha portato a una serie televisiva, "The Mask: The Animated Series" (1995-1997), e a un sequel, "The Mask 2: And That Face" non è stato diretto da Chuck Russell ma "The Mask and the Kid" annunciato ma mai realizzato; in pratica il sequel ufficiale mai prodotto.
