The movie follows Stanley Ipkiss, a mild-mannered bank clerk who discovers the Mask in the museum. He soon learns that the Mask is the property of the Norse god Loki and that it can only be controlled by someone with a pure heart. As The Mask, Stanley uses his newfound powers to fight crime, seek revenge against his boss, and woo a reporter named Tina Carlyle (Peter Greene).
