The movie follows Neerja (played by Sonam Kapoor), a young and spirited flight attendant who boards a Pan Am flight from Mumbai to New York. On board, there are 300 passengers and 15 crew members. As the plane takes off, four terrorists belonging to the Abu Nidal Organization hijack the aircraft.
