The story begins with Alex Browning (Devon Sawa), a high school student, and his friends: Jess (Shawnee Smith), Haley (T.C. Carson), Ashley (Katie Cockrell), Evan (Toni Vidone), and Seann (Ryan Lemke). They're on their way to a spring break trip in Paris.
