The Trojan War, as told in Homer's epic poems, the Iliad and the Odyssey, was a legendary conflict between the city-states of Troy and Greece. The war was sparked by the abduction of Helen, the queen of Sparta, by Paris, a prince of Troy, which led to a massive Greek army laying siege to Troy. The war was a turning point in Greek mythology and marked the end of the Heroic Age.
