Despite the progress that has been made, the transgender community still faces significant challenges. According to a 2020 report by the Human Rights Campaign, transgender individuals are four times more likely to experience violence than cisgender individuals. Additionally, transgender individuals often face significant barriers to accessing healthcare, housing, and employment.
