Manisha Koirala was born on August 1, 1971, in Kathmandu, Nepal. She began her acting career in 1991 with the Bollywood film "Saajan". Her breakthrough performance came in 1994 with the film "Aankhen", which earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
