The film is inspired by true events and revolves around four friends - Chandu (Varun Dhawan), Pappu (Rohit Kumar), Gogi (Bappi Lahiri), and Kalaa (Randeep Hooda) - who start a mobile phone recharge business in the 1990s. The business takes off, but they soon get involved in various illegal activities. The movie takes a turn when they try to make a legitimate business out of it.
