The movie tells the story of Henry Roth (played by Adam Sandler), a veterinarian who lives in Hawaii and spends his time wooing women. However, his life takes a turn when he meets Lucy Whitmore (played by Drew Barrymore), a woman with short-term memory loss due to a head injury. Every day, Lucy wakes up thinking it's the day of her accident, and her family and friends try to recreate the same day over and over to keep her from discovering the truth.
